Summer Camp: Day 3
Our swimming training started with a guest swimmer visit today. Joyce Kwok is a former Xianghao Swimming Club member. Quoting the Long Island University website: “She is recognized as the ‘Rookie of the Meet’ at the Metropolitan Championships … national champion in the 200-yard butterfly (2:00.28) and 400-yard medley relay (3:42.48) … also received All-America recognition with a third place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (55.12) and a fourth place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:42.91) … holds six team records…”. Campers had such a great opportunity to watch her swimming and learn from her!
Breast and butterfly are the strokes of the day. Coach Shi showed the campers the underwater videos of their swimming and flip turns, and gave helpful advice on how to improve their technique.
