Summer Camp: Day 2

Today’s primary focus is on the technique of freestyle and backstroke.
We started off the day with an analysis session with coach Shi. Coach Shi gave advice to each swimmer while playing the videos of the swimmer swimming freestyle from the underwater side view, as well as from the front.
We spent rest of the morning on dry land training. We did arm and leg stretches, curl-ups and battling ropes. Oh boy, it was intensive!
During the lunch break, coach Shi continued to explain improvements on technique for both freestyle and backstroke. We had some fun under the sun playing football afterwards.
We spent the afternoon in the water. All swimmers swam more than one thousand meters freestyle under the critical eyes of the coaches. The coaches gave detailed instructions to each swimmer. After a short break, we switched gears to backstroke. We finished off the day with a freestyle and backstroke sprint.
