Coach Shi is a member of the United States Swimming Coaches Association, also a licensed coach by Red Cross Society of America, and a former National Swimming Team member of China. He was continuously invited in National Sport Competitions three times between the years of 1975 to 1983 with numerous medals such as National Champion in Freestyle in National Sport Competition of 1979. He broke several times and kept Ba-Yi national Freestyle record for 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 1500 meter. In addition, he participated in international swimming competition and got a silver medal for 100 meter butterfly (stroke). He graduated his undergraduate study in Guangzhou sport institute. Latter, he became a famous coach for Ba-Yi National swimming team after his excellent performance in his field. Because of his rich experience in swimming techniques and effective teaching skill, he has successfully trained numerous top ranking National swimming students.
